* During the ‘60s, when I was working closely with the late poet and hand drummer Angus MacLise, the dates of composition of my works often incorporated the names of the days as written in the original version of his calendar YEAR. Hence, day of the unquiet grave – smoke of the shore, beneath the date of composition above, refers to the names of the days December 10 and 11.
